Aerial views of fire-destroyed houses and scorched fields at Norton, Stourbridge, on 15 August 2026

Detached houses burnt down to their brick shells beside blackened fields at Norton, Stourbridge, West Midlands, on 15 August 2026. The set runs to 14 drone stills shot from directly overhead and from lower oblique angles, with 12 frames carrying GPS fixes that step eastwards across roughly six minutes of flying. The sequence moves from wide views of scorched arable land running up to a farm and to the edge of housing, in to close overhead frames of gutted properties with roofs gone, floors collapsed and rubble across the drives. Several frames show burnt-out houses standing immediately alongside homes that appear untouched, with hose lines still lying across paths and gardens and burnt ground reaching to garden fences and an emptied swimming pool. All frames were shot on a DJI drone at a 7mm wide setting, which is what puts whole streets and the surrounding burnt fields in one picture.
