Privacy policy

Last updated: 24 April 2026

PressApp takes your privacy seriously. We only collect the data we need to run the service, review content and pay you.

What we collect. Account details such as your name, email, username and profile photo; submission content and metadata; support messages; payment details; verification documents; and basic technical logs for security and debugging.

How we use it. To create and secure accounts, moderate uploads, communicate with you, process payouts, verify identity, and prevent fraud or abuse.

Sharing. We do not sell personal data. We share data with service providers that help us operate the platform, and with newsroom buyers only as needed to license your content. Buyers normally see your reporter handle unless you choose to be credited differently.

Retention. We keep account and transaction records for as long as necessary to provide the service, meet legal obligations and resolve disputes. You can ask us to delete your account, subject to legal retention requirements.

Security. We use access controls and storage protections to reduce the risk of unauthorised access, but no online service can be guaranteed 100% secure.

Your rights. Depending on your location, you may be able to access, correct, export or delete your data. Use the account settings or contact support if you need help.

Children. PressApp is not intended for anyone under 18.
