Editorial standards

Content you can publish with confidence

Newsrooms buy from PressApp because the content is real, checked and safe to run. Here is the standard every shot has to meet before it reaches you.

verified

Real news, never fakes

We do not sell AI-generated, staged or re-enacted content as news. Every shot is captured by the person who submits it, from a lawful vantage point. Our desk reviews each submission before it goes live.

fingerprint

Provenance you can check

When a phone captures it, we record the device, capture time and approximate location from the original file, and fingerprint the untouched bytes. Buyers see this on every listing and on the licence certificate.

how_to_reg

Consent and privacy

Contributors tell us whether identifiable people are shown, and whether they were in a public place or gave consent. We reject hidden-camera content from private spaces and anything obtained by trespass, stalking or intimidation.

child_care

Protecting minors

We do not accept content that identifies a child without a parent or guardian consenting. Anything involving minors in unsafe or exploitative situations is removed and reported.

edit_note

Accurate captions

Headlines and descriptions must match what actually happened, where and when. Light crop and exposure fixes are fine. Manipulating the content to mislead is not, and it gets the submission pulled.

gavel

Editorial use only

Licences cover editorial use. Content is not sold for advertising, merchandising or endorsement. We can blur, hold, delist or remove anything that raises legal, safety or editorial concerns.

flag

Reviewed, reported, removed

Every submission is reviewed before it can go live. Anyone can flag a live shot with the "Report this content" action on its page, or by emailing us, without needing an account. We aim to act on reports within 24 hours: offending content is removed, and repeat offenders are banned.

Something wrong? Tell us fast

If you believe a shot breaches these standards, is inaccurate, or you are the subject and want it taken down, use the "Report this content" action on the shot, or email us. We aim to review reports and act within 24 hours.
