Villagers rally with Battle for Britain placards at Leverington asylum protest
Crowds gathered in the village of Leverington on 11 October 2026 for a protest against plans the contributor says would house asylum seekers there. Demonstrators filled the grass and roadway outside a brick building on the edge of the village, carrying Union flags and placards reading "Leverington: Battle for Britain 2026" and "Leverington: Don't destroy our village". A Welsh dragon flag and a flag bearing a lion were flown above the crowd, and a television camera on a tripod was set up among those gathered. A tractor joined the protest along the main road, a placard fixed to its rear window, while a van parked nearby carried a Union flag draped across its back doors. Further frames show the village street itself, with demonstrators walking between parked cars past houses and a 30mph sign.
